Ruby Rose and Yoshikage Kira stood at opposite ends of the battlefield, staring each other down as they prepared to fight. Kira spoke first, his smug grin sending shivers down Ruby's spine. "You'll be sorry you ever crossed me, little girl." Ruby didn't back down. "I may be small, but I have powerful friends behind me. You'll pay for any harm you bring to them." Kira laughed. "Friends won't be able to save you from Killer Queen Requiem's power. Let's see what you're made of." Without any warning, Kira launched an attack with his invisible granade, causing the air to become dense and Ruby's movement to slow. But to his surprise, Ruby anticipated the attack and used her Semblance to disassemble herself at a molecular level and reassemble a few feet behind him. Before Kira could react, Ruby dashed towards him with her Petal Burst, leaving a blur in her wake as she swung her Crescent Rose, now in its scythe form. Kira managed to dodge the attack, but he wasn't fast enough to avoid the Dust rounds that Ruby fired off from her sniper rifle form, hitting him hard. Kira retaliated with a barrage of laser beams from his Light Explosion, causing Ruby to dodge and weave quickly to avoid them. But even as she dodged, she realized that Kira wasn't aiming to hit her directly, but rather to use his Slimey Explosion to replace the particles she dodged with that of her own body, setting them up for his next attack. Ruby knew she had to act fast. She charged towards Kira and landed a solid blow with her scythe, but it wasn't enough to put him down. Kira responded by activating his Second Bomb Requiem, following Ruby as she tried to retreat and blowing up only when he managed to touch her. The explosion sent her flying and left her vulnerable to his Auto Third Bomb, which he used to erase the concept of time and cause Ruby to freeze in place. As Kira prepared to finish her off, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his head. He saw nothing but a bright light, as Ruby used her Silver Eye power to turn him to stone and incapacitate his Killer Queen Requiem. Ruby emerged victorious, but she knew that it was only through careful planning and quick thinking that she managed to defeat Kira. She vowed to always be ready for anything in future battles. "Never let my guard down again," she thought to herself.
