Although Metallix is stronger, faster and better than Sonic, Sonic has the upper hand with his speed of light that can take down multiple robots and run on walls. Also, Sonic can destroy huge turrets made out of alien steel while Mario can lift and throw King Bomb-omb. Sonic and Mario's combined speed and power, along with Mario's fire flowers and invincibility, make them a formidable opponent for Metallix.
