Bakugo then descended towards Stain, with a massive AP Shot: Auto-Cannon pointed directly at him. Stain was quick to react and managed to dodge the attack, but suffered a large wound as the blast grazed his arm. He then launched his Whirlwind Pierce, but Bakugo was ready and used his AP Shot to counterattack, sending Stain flying back towards the edge of the arena. Stain smacked into the ground with immense force, sliding across the arena. Bakugo walked over to Stain, his Grenade Bracers charging up with energy. He was about to fire the final shot when he saw Stain's eyes. There was a fierce determination and a fiery passion in them, a desire to become the No.1 HERO despite everything. Bakugo realized then that he couldn't kill Stain. As much as he wanted to win, he also knew that killing Stain was not the answer.
