Aya had arrived at the scene of the battle, she clasped her notepad firmly in her hand as she approached the two combatants. She was met with an intriguing sight - on one side of the clearing was a stocky, muscular man with long brown hair clad in a red trench coat, whilst on the other was a small, blue cat-like creature with a mischievous glint in its eye. Aya approached them with a smile. "Good afternoon, gentlemen, I'm Aya Shameimaru, I'm here to report on your battle", she said warmly. The two opponents turned to face her. "Ah, the journalist," said the man in the red coat with a grin. "My name is Greg. Pleased to meet you." "And I'm Gumball Watterson, professional fun-lover!" said the cat enthusiastically while doing a backflip. Aya raised an eyebrow in surprise at the acrobatic cat creature. "So, shall we begin?" asked Aya, pulling out her recorder. "Yeah, sure thing" replied Greg, his muscles tensed as he readied himself for battle. Gumball smirked and cracked his knuckles. "Hope you're ready to be taken down, muscle man," he said with a playful glint in his eye. As the two combatants squared up against each other, Aya got ready to jot down the details of the fight in her notepad. Suddenly, the atmosphere changed. Greg's face contorted in pain and he collapsed onto the ground, clutching his head. A bolt of energy crackled through the air and before Aya knew it, a strange, otherworldly presence had appeared, occupying Greg's body. The space entity had taken over. Gumball looked on with a puzzled expression. "You alright, dude?" he asked. The entity spoke through Greg's mouth, its voice deep and echoing. "I am not here to play games," it bellowed. "I am here to fight." Gumball shrugged nonchalantly and struck a fighting stance. "Alright, let's do this then," he replied. With that, the fight was on. The two combatants rushed at each other full force. Gumball was quick and agile, darting around and taunting his opponent. However, Greg (now possessed by the space entity) was a powerhouse, dealing out immense amounts of damage with his psychic powers. Gumball was hit with a barrage of attacks and had to focus on dodging. He tried to make use of his sarcastic quips to fluster his opponent, but the otherworldly being possessing Greg's body seemed to be indifferent to his jibes. Greg raised his hand and formed a ball of psychic energy, hurling it at Gumball with incredible force. But the crafty cat dodged, leaping over the energy ball and landing on Greg's back. Greg howled with anger, thrashing around in an effort to throw Gumball off. But he failed to shake the nimble blue feline from his back, and Gumball started to climb up to Greg's head. Using his strong arms and psychic powers, Greg reached back and tried to grab Gumball off his head. But Gumball was too quick, his tiny legs scampering up Greg's body until he was perched atop his head like a victorious king. "You lose," whispered Gumball in Greg's ear, a playful grin spreading across his face. Suddenly, Greg's body started to glow with a bright light, and Gumball was thrown off into the air. With a final cry, the space entity emerged from Greg's body, growing in size until it was towering over Gumball like a mountain. "You are dealt with," it growled. But Gumball wasn't finished yet. As he was falling back down, he formed a makeshift weapon out of his own spit, and landed on the ground firing it at the being. "Spiiiitting poweeeeer!" shouted Gumball as he continued to spit at the space entity with all his might. The entity roared, raising its massive hands to try and crush Gumball beneath them. But Gumball was quick and nimble, darting to and fro as he unleashed a barrage of spit attacks. Finally, the space entity crumpled to the ground, defeated. Aya immediately rushed to Gumball's side, scribbling in her notepad as she talked to him. "Wow, Gumball, you managed to beat that space entity! How did you do it?" Gumball smirked and flexed his bicep. "The power of spit, hombre," he said. "Never underestimate the power of gross." Greg, who had been possessed by the entity only moments before, now came back to consciousness. He stood up and looked at Gumball with a newfound respect. "You've got some serious skills there," he said. "Guess I need to work on my psychic powers a bit more." Gumball simply shrugged. "Don't worry about it, muscle man," he said. "There's plenty of other battles to win out there." With that, the two combatants shook hands, and Aya noted down the details of the fight in her notepad. Another battle had come and gone in Gensokyo, and all that was left was the faint echo of onomatopoeia reverberating in the air.
