The Grumman F-14D Super Tomcat is the latest variant of the Navy's best 4th gen fighter, having served since 1970.
It is powered by two F110-GE-400 afterburning turbofans capable of producing 27,000 LBS of combined thrust, giving 1,544 mph in top speed.
The Tomcat's main armament is it's AIM-54 Phoenix, a missile known for going up to space and coming at it's target at mach 5+.
