DLN 000, "Protoman", Called "Break Man" one time in Mega Man 3, and wore a helmet that time so Dr. Light wouldn't recognise him. Also referred to as "Blues" in Japan. In real life music terms, blues is often considered the predecessor to rock. The first robot Dr. Light ever built to have self conscience. Unfortunately, he had an energy core defect and had to be repaired. However, he didn't trust that Dr. Light wouldn't strip away his self conscience, so he ran away. Struggling without a proper functioning energy core, he was eventually repaired by Dr. Wily, and worked for him for a bit until he realized that Dr. Wily had plans for world domination. His first appearance was in Mega Man 3, working for Dr. Wily with mixed intent. In Mega Man 4, Protoman outright betrayed Dr. Wily, permanently cutting ties with the mad scientist. Such a set of events prove he is willing to risk his life to maintain his individuality, and without much connections to either Dr. Wily or Dr. Light, he wanders around the world with his true goals unknown.
